Denver was among dozens of city that held multiple-day protests after the death of George Floyd. I went down to show my support, and to document a small piece of yet another impactful event in America’s sordid racial history.

The vandalism and destruction of iconic Denver areas, while heartbreaking, is nothing that can’t be cleaned up, repaired, or replaced. Unlike the lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Elijah McClain, and the countless other black men and women who have died needlessly, simply because of the color of their skin.

You can see all of my photos from the May 30th protest at my Flickr Album, May 2020 Black Lives Matter.
